Fall Family Session at 17 Mile House | Parker, Colorado

This session was one of my favorites for a few reasons. First of all, Erin and I grew up on the same street for a few years. We were in school together and were a part of marching band together. So it was very very special when she contacted me to do a session of her sweet growing family after it had been many years since high school! I won't say exactly how many years (wink, wink).

Secondly, this session was in Parker, where we grew up! Going back to my stomping grounds felt really good. At the time I was visiting from Texas and I hadn't made it over to Parker in quite some time. Maybe it was a mix of all the nostalgia and the crisp fall air that made me super happy shooting here, but I think it's because this family & our history of knowing each other over the years!

I loved their wardrobe - mama did a great job coordinating everyone's outfits. A mix of texture, pattern, and colors. I remember mama saying that these were her son's first pair of shoes! How cute!! I loved that she brought them to their session.

We ventured not too far off from the 17 mile house to a field and got some more family shots. We included their fur baby Shami with these which is always a favorite of mine. The family dog is an important part of the family and is always invited to your session! We had her leash nearby and some treats on standby! I can't wait to photograph this family again in the future and see how their little one grows up. Such a blessing to capture families throughout their lives!
